Wa No Michi Ryu Martial Arts is an
American Christian style of Martial Arts created officially in 1995 by Soke
Michael McGann pictured below. Wa No Michi Ryu means the "On the path or
the Way of Peace" and is a combination of various systems: Karate, Kenpo,
KungFu, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Aikido and Kobudo. To excel at anything in this life
it is very important to have a way to follow. Our current membership is
composed of people of many faiths and cultures, and all are welcome to become
part of the Wa No Michi Ryu family. Soke McGann, a very devout Christian, is
following the lead of the Native American Church where Christians and
non-Christian Traditionalists are all part of the same congregation and family.
Soke McGann is a strong enough Christian to allow people of all beliefs to be
part of the family and share the common ground in their quest for the knowledge
of "The Way of Peace".

Wa No Michi Ryu is recognized both
Nationally and Internationally and the list of systems that recognize Wa No
Michi Ryu reads like a Martial Arts who's-who. Our list of affiliates also is
very impressive. We owe all of this to our great leadership in Wa No Michi Ryu.

Wa No Michi Ryu schools
are located in many counties within Florida, as well as the states of
Louisiana, North Carolina, Georgia, Illinois and Alabama. We also have several schools operating in
Along with our own schools, we have set up
partnerships with several other martial arts styles that have similar core
values about the martial arts . Wa No Michi Ryu is a family and this is
something we are very proud of.
If you are interested in attending a Wa

e-mail you back with the location of the nearest Wa No Michi Ryu school or
instructor. We also have affiliates in many States and several in other
Countries, so if we do not have an instructor near you possibly one of our
affiliates could help you out. It all starts with an e-mail. You do not need to
be a member of Wa No Michi Ryu to take advantage of our classes. Anyone can
attend a class in any Dojo to see how they may fit in. We also have Martial Art
style exercise classes in some places. We put on self-defense and Women's
defense seminars on a regular basis throughout the Country. Of course if you
like these seminars and classes we then welcome you to join one of our schools
on a regular basis, and become a member of our Martial Arts family.

We offer lifetime memberships in Wa No
Michi Ryu Karate and Kobudo for only one hundred and fifty dollars, and our
annual dues if you are not sure you want to start off with a lifetime
membership are only twenty five dollars. If you have interest in becoming a
member, please send your resume via e-mail to us today. If you have never been
in Martial Arts before then send us an e-mail with you name and the area you live
in so that we can link you up with a school in your area. Remember everything
can start with a simple e-mail. If you are new to e-mail we will of course
accept good old fashion Post Office mail. If you are an instructor and wish a
system to teach under, e-mail us about your school and we will see if you can
bring your school under our umbrella. We are also always looking for sister
systems to link up with so let us know if you think you fall into this
category.
Wa No Michi Ryu has annual awards that
are handed out to members and non members to recognize their efforts in the
martial arts. These awards are most often handed out at a banquet, but at times
have been done at other venues.
In 2002 the Executive Board of Wa No
Michi Ryu made a decision that there were several people who needed to be
honored above and beyond any honor we had yet come up with. As a result the Wa
No Michi Ryu Hall of Fame was formed and we had our charter membership receive
special certificates. We also selected a Board of Directors. This Board of
Directors met this year and decided we would induct a few more candidates into
the Hall in 2003 and also add to the Board of Directors. The criteria to be
inducted into the Wa No Michi Ryu Hall of Fame has been set in such a way that
only martial artists with a long relationship to both the Martial Arts
community and Wa No Michi Ryu will be considered.
